Appetiser is a brand-new event on the calendar for the Accommodation industry, exploring current trends, as well as hotel food and beverage best practices. Appetiser came to fruition after a wave of support for an increased focus on food and beverage topics throughout the AHICE schedule; cue an entire event dedicated to it.
The importance of a hotel’s food and beverage product continues to rise as operators look for opportunity to set their properties apart. The uplift in quality is increasing demand for subject matter expertise in these areas of food, beverage, operations and concept design.
Hosted by the industry’s elite, Appetiser, examines current food and beverage trends impacting hotel operators, through demonstrations of industry insights and case studies; leaving attendees with practical take-aways.
It will equip attendees with the knowledge of how to better meet the needs of today’s customer, and drive the food & beverage function within their hotel.
The first keynote for the event has been announced as Andrew Cameron, Head of Procurement for Accor (Singapore). Andrew’s keynote will be of great relevance in today’s climate, From Plate to Planet: Driving actionable sustainability though passion, provenance & a scientific approach to your supply.
Andrew will be joined by a stellar line-up of industry experts including Ovolo Laneways General Manager Amy Moylan, REMIX Summits Co-Founder Peter Tullin, Marketing Strategist Zoe Ottaway, and Hastings People’s Managing Director, Luke Butler.
Hastings MD Luke Butler will be curating and hosting a panel at the event. The panel will focus on presenting top operators that sit outside of the Accommodation sector, many of whom hotel operators look to for inspiration.
The aim of this panel will be to provide hoteliers with access to leaders who traditionally sit outside of their field of vision, sharing insights that set their businesses as market leaders.
The event will be hosted at Grand Hyatt Melbourne on 5th May.
