Reporting to the Executive Chef you will be responsible for managing the overall kitchen operations, whilst providing leadership motivation and training to your team of well-trained local chefs.
Your creative contribution to menu planning, execution and delivery of expertly curated Mediterranean dishes is required to relaunch the fine dining restaurant with an exciting new concept. Located in the beating heart of the Island this restaurant is an all-day dining destination, starting with a modern Café style breakfast, a relaxed but elegant lunch, and dinner that is inspired by dining on the shores of the Mediterranean while highlighting the food of the Pacific Islands.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Excellent time management planning, and organisation skills
- Strong leadership capabilities and team management
- Experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef is ideal
- A desire to work in a beautiful but remote location
- Work experience in well a regarded Mediterranean restaurant (highly desirable)
- Exceptional understanding of produce and gastronomic techniques
Days off will be spent exploring the reefs, scuba diving, fishing or jumping on a seaplane to the mainland to experience the culture, the people and the local markets. This role is offering a strong remuneration package comprised of a generous base salary and is depending on the applicant’s experience.
