About the role:
As a key part of the senior team, you'll get the opportunity to work alongside a group of highly innovative award-winning managers and chefs. As the Head Sommelier, you will be fully responsible for the management of a clearly defined set of tasks within the restaurant including Stock Control, Wine Training Program with a strong focus on team development and of course, great customer service.
You will utilise your premium service background to educate and improve those working around you, elevating the customer experience in the process. This is not a business-as-usual role, rather the focus is on continuous improvement and service evolution.
Candidate Profile:
To be successful in this role you will be able to display the following;
- Experience as a Sommelier in a premium restaurant
- Strong operational knowledge that is shared to inspire the team
- Experience in budget management and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with professionalism
- Great personal presentation, good communication and time management skills
- Hands-on leader who has the ability to influence a positive workplace culture
- Implement processes and standards to ensure all front-of-house operations run effectively and seamlessly
- Ensure the customer service is of the highest standard
- Build a strong rapport with all guests and clients
This role is based in Brisbane, Queensland, offering a very strong remuneration package comprised of an excellent base salary plus superannuation.
