A message from Managing Director, Luke Butler, as Hastings Team celebrates 3 years!
So Hastings is turning 3 and while this mini-milestone clearly means much more to our team than anyone else, it does fill me with immense gratitude.
Gratitude to our loyal clients who have stayed with us throughout start-up and COVID – steering a path through the incredibly challenging and unprecedented social turbulence that continues to impact us all. Gratitude to our colleagues, suppliers and associates who have supported us over the years.
And most importantly, gratitude to our amazing team who have shown our clients empathy, support and understanding along every step of the way.
I started Hastings on my own in July 2018, with a strong desire to scale. In 12 months, we had grown to a team of 10 whose hard-work and dedication was inspirational. We opened an office in Singapore in November 2019. Everything was feeling great but when Covid hit in 2020, suddenly it was just me, flying solo again.
Gradually, with some Government support, we re-employed several team members and launched a Temp business.
Our strategy was re-focused on the domestic market.
Today, we have three offices across Australia’s East Coast and a team of 11 amazing humans who I am honoured to call colleagues, and friends. Their efforts and commitment inspire me every single day.
After three years, my objective is now quite clear. Our company is named after Hastings Street Noosa – a magic place that embodies a relaxed and incredible lifestyle. It is my place.
I want Hastings to reward our team members with the life they want. Our business will act as a vehicle for personal and professional success, enabling those involved to find their place, wherever it might be.
