This is a rare opportunity to lead the opening of a premium dining venue in Sydney. My client has a strong brand identity and a clear vision for service, the group is looking for a proven leader to take full ownership of this new site asset from pre-opening through to day to day operations and long-term success.
About the role:
As Venue Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the launch and ongoing performance of the restaurant. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll manage all pre-opening activities — including recruitment, training, supplier engagement, and the implementation of systems and processes. Once operational, you'll lead the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality, and team performance are consistently met.
Candidate Profile
We’re seeking a hands-on leader with proven experience in launching and running premium venues. You’ll have a strong financial mindset, confidence managing reporting and KPIs, and the ability to recruit and inspire a new team.
You’ll bring:
Experience as a Venue Manager or Restaurant GM within premium or hatted restaurants
A strong track record in new venue openings, from fit-out to launch
Financial acumen, confident with P&L, forecasting, cost control and labour planning
The ability to build and lead a team with a focus on culture, accountability, and performance
