Job Description
The Venue Manager will take ownership of day-to-day bar operations and floor service, leading from the front in a high-volume environment. The role is responsible for delivering strong guest experiences, ensuring smooth service across both regular trade and functions.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading all bar operations in a high-volume service environment

Maintaining a strong floor presence with active guest engagement

Managing staffing levels to balance service quality and labour efficiency

Controlling key bar cost centres, including wages, stock, and wastage
-
Overseeing stock control processes, ordering, stocktakes, and inventory accuracy
-
Delivering bar service and function service confidently
-
Communicating promotions, events, and operational updates clearly to the team

Supporting bookings and understanding service flow across peak and off-peak periods
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Proven bar or venue management experience in a busy, volume-driven venue

Strong operational bar skills with confident floor leadership

Solid understanding of labour management and basic cost control

Experience working in high-volume trade environments

Clear and confident communication with staff and management

Sound stock control and inventory practices

A calm, guest-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
