Job Description
This is a true leadership role, requiring you to work alongside the Executive Chef to drive the food offering and manage the team in this dynamic and unique boutique hotel. They strive to be the best in all aspects of their operation, delivering a positive, inclusive and welcoming culture for colleagues and customers alike.
First and foremost, you will be responsible for the performance of the team including training & developing, driving their performance & standards and giving them the tools to succeed. You will also assist in overseeing the organizational requirements of the kitchen including scheduling, ordering kitchen health & safety compliance and everything in between. This is a true leadership role.
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in sous chef or leadership position
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously
- The authority to command respect
- High food standards in both taste and presentation
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong kitchen organizational skills
- Team player skills and leading by example
