They are seeking a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen of their flagship restaurant in the Greater Sydney area. This is a full-time, on-site role offering the opportunity to work within a highly professional and quality-driven environment.
Job Description
As Sous Chef, you will assist the Senior Sous and Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations while upholding exceptional culinary standards. You’ll oversee food preparation, presentation, and service consistency, ensuring the team delivers a premium dining experience every time.
Key responsibilities include supervising and training kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and cost controls, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. You’ll also play an active role in menu development, bringing creativity, precision, and leadership to a high-performing team.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you will have:
Proven experience in a senior kitchen position within a quality-driven restaurant or hotel environment
Strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience
Sound knowledge of cost control, ordering, and inventory systems
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
Relevant culinary qualifications and a commitment to professional standards
