As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef in a hands-on, collaborative role — helping to build and lead the kitchen team, shaping the menu, and maintaining an exceptional standard of execution. You'll partner closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a cohesive guest experience and play a key role in establishing the restaurant's reputation from the ground up.
We're not specifically seeking a background in any one cuisine; what matters most is a strong technical foundation, creativity, and respect for quality produce. This could suit an experienced Sous Chef or a strong, ready-to-step-up Chef de Partie who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Experience in a premium, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- A refined cooking style with a focus on clean, seasonal flavours
- Strong knowledge of cost control, compliance, and kitchen systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration with front-of-house teams
- Full working rights in Australia
