The Role
The Senior Baker will work closely with the Head Baker, taking ownership of production quality, workflow oversight, and team mentorship. The role requires deep technical expertise in artisan breadmaking alongside leadership capability to inspire and guide a dedicated team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and executing high-volume artisan bread production to exacting standards
- Driving recipe development and continuous product refinement
- Mentoring, training, and supervising junior team members
- Managing quality control, production schedules, and ingredient use
- Ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
The ideal candidate will bring proven artisan baking expertise with a passion for precision, innovation, and leadership.
We are seeking:
- Minimum five years' professional baking experience, including three years in artisan breads
- Advanced knowledge of sourdough, fermentation, lamination, and large-scale production
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a bakery or patisserie setting
- Strong time management, organisational, and mentoring skills
- Dedication to maintaining excellence in product and process
