Job Description

The Pub 2IC / Operations Manager will work closely with the Venue Manager to oversee daily venue operations while driving service excellence and operational consistency. This role suits a practical, confident operator with strong capabilities across bars, gaming, food service, compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Venue Manager across all operational, administrative, and financial functions
  • Lead, coach, and develop a motivated front-of-house team
  • Maintain compliance including RSA, RCG, licensing, and WHS requirements
  • Manage stock, ordering, cash controls, and supplier relationships
  • Deliver a high-quality guest experience across all trading periods
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in a pub, club, or busy hospitality venue, along with a balanced leadership style and strong operational understanding. They will be calm under pressure, organised, and eager to develop within a growing business.

Key Attributes:
  • Experience in a 2IC, Duty Manager, or Operations role within a pub environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
  • Solid understanding of gaming, compliance, and financial controls
  • Hands-on, solution-focused, and confident working across all areas of the venue
  • Ambition to progress into senior leadership roles
