Ongoing expansion has created an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead one of their Newcastle venues.

Job Description

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of venue operations, financial performance, and team leadership. This role requires a commercially astute, hands-on operator who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution while maintaining a strong community presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all operational, financial, and administrative functions of the venue
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive commercial outcomes through effective cost control and revenue growth
  • Oversee regulatory compliance including RSA, RCG, licensing, and WHS
  • Ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience across all trading periods
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality leader with a strong background in managing busy pubs or multi-faceted venues. They will be commercially driven, operationally disciplined, and highly people focused, with the ability to foster a positive and productive team culture.

Key Attributes:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior venue leader
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L management
  • Demonstrated capability in gaming, food and beverage operations, and compliance
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure environments
