Job Description
The General Manager will oversee all aspects of venue operations, financial performance, and team leadership. This role requires a commercially astute, hands-on operator who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution while maintaining a strong community presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all operational, financial, and administrative functions of the venue
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Drive commercial outcomes through effective cost control and revenue growth
- Oversee regulatory compliance including RSA, RCG, licensing, and WHS
- Ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience across all trading periods
The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality leader with a strong background in managing busy pubs or multi-faceted venues. They will be commercially driven, operationally disciplined, and highly people focused, with the ability to foster a positive and productive team culture.
Key Attributes:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior venue leader
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L management
- Demonstrated capability in gaming, food and beverage operations, and compliance
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on approach with the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure environments
