Job Description
The Precinct Head Sommelier will direct and evolve the wine strategy across several venues within the precinct. This role is highly visible, requiring an energetic presence on the floor while also managing cellar operations, negotiating with suppliers, and inspiring a team of sommeliers to deliver at the highest level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding, developing and motivating the sommelier team across the precinct during service
- Designing and maintaining the precinct’s renowned wine program
- Administering cellar logistics, stock control and vintage allocation
- Building strong relationships with local and international suppliers to secure rare wines
- Delivering training initiatives that enrich knowledge and elevate service standards
- Partnering with senior executives to expand and innovate the precinct’s wine direction
