Job Description

The Operations Manager will oversee the full spectrum of venue operations within a busy community pub in the Northern Rivers. This role requires a confident leader who can balance commercial strategy with hands-on operational management, ensuring the venue consistently delivers strong financial results and a high-quality guest experience.

Core responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end management of daily operations across bar, bistro and gaming

  • Driving revenue growth while maintaining tight cost controls

  • Leading, mentoring and performance managing department heads and team members

  • Ensuring compliance with all NSW liquor, gaming and WHS regulations

  • Building local partnerships and maintaining a strong community presence

Candidate Profile

You are a commercially driven hospitality professional with proven success in community pub operations. You thrive in friendly, fast-paced environments and are known for developing capable teams, lifting standards and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Your background will include:

  • Senior leadership experience within a busy pub or hotel

  • Strong understanding of gaming operations and regulatory compliance in NSW

  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on culture and accountability

  • The ability to identify growth opportunities and execute operational improvements
