Job Description
Based at the head office in Sydney, this HR Business Partner role supports a significant workforce of approximately 1,000 employees across multiple venues. As a key member of a collaborative head office team, the successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders to execute HR strategy and deliver on key people initiatives.
This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and operational delivery. You will be instrumental in embedding best practices and evolving HR capability within the business. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to influence and improve the employee lifecycle while aligning closely with organisational values.
- Develop and implement recruitment, retention and attraction strategies
- Drive employee engagement and value programs across the group
- Promote and manage training and development frameworks tailored to venue operations
- Ensure compliance and best practice in physical and psychosocial safety
- Partner with operational leaders to support performance, culture, and workforce planning
- Provide strategic guidance and support on employee relations and workforce development
You will be a strategic and hands-on HR professional with experience in a multi-site or large-scale operational environment. Your ability to build strong relationships with leaders and deliver people-focused solutions will set you apart.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate adaptability, commercial acumen, and a clear passion for people. A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in enhancing workplace culture will be key to your success in this role.
- Proven HR experience, ideally in hospitality, retail or related industries
- Strong understanding of employment law, award interpretation and safety compliance
- Skilled in influencing, stakeholder management and organisational change
- Experience developing and delivering training, engagement and EVPs
- High level of emotional intelligence, resilience and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically within a fast-paced environment
