Job Description

As Sommelier, you will be fully responsible for the management of a clearly defined set of tasks while overseeing the restaurant's wine operations while having a strong focus on customer engagement. You will also be responsible for ongoing list management and the potential introduction of a new list for another venue. 

As Sommelier you will;
  • Be a key member of the restaurant management team and work closely with the kitchen leadership team
  • Have experience as a hands-on leader who has the ability to influence a positive workplace culture
  • Ensures that all standards and procedures for the operation are followed and are set up before, during and after services
  • Complete regular stock-takes and oversee all ordering
  • Induct and train all front of house employees concerning beverage knowledge
Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role you will have;
  • 3+ years experience as a sommelier
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional personal presentation, good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to lead and develop a team
  • WSET accreditation
  • A commitment to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Extensive knowledge of all wines and wine service, including new products and non-alcoholic items
This role is offering a salary of $85,000 plus super depending on candidate experience.
