Hastings People have been exclusively retained to work with House Made Hospitality and Accor on the re-launch of the prestigious Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. House Made Hospitality & Accor have partnered together to launch four new venues at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth’s new dining precinct. With two recognised leaders in their field combining to reinvigorate the grand dame of Sydney’s luxury hotel market, this is one of the most highly anticipated openings of the year.
  
The expansion includes two bars and two restaurants, offering innovative experiences such as an Australian seafood grill and a French-Vietnamese eatery. These venues promise unique concepts, stunning interiors, and the exceptional service House Made Hospitality is known for.
  
Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something new, to grow & nurture talented, skilled chefs who under your guidance and dedication can bring the venue into the eye of the hospitality scene.

This role will allow you to play a part in menu development and further develop your skills within a modern, forward thinking hospitality business. You will be provided with significant training in the business, focusing on developing your culinary skills, management and business skills which will lead to larger career opportunities in the future.

Candidate Profile 
 
To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Experience as a Senior Sous or Head Chef in a large format & high volume premium venue Background in restaurants where modern cooking techniques are at the forefront
  • Impressive 'foodie' knowledge- technical cooking - yet served in an uncomplicated way  
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously   
  • High food standards in both taste and presentation  
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment  
  • Strong financial acumen relevant to labour and cost-control
  • A highly structured and organised approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Experience in new openings is preferred but not necessary
