Client Profile
Hastings People is proud to partner with one of the fastest growing hospitality groups at the forefront of the Sydney Hospitality scene. The Client is hiring a Head Chef for their venue down in Central Coast, NSW.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design and roll out creative, seasonal menus that highlight top-quality local ingredients
  • Lead, train, and support the kitchen team to maintain exceptional standards in food preparation and presentation
  • Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including stock control, budgeting, and compliance with all health and safety requirements
  • Partner with the management team to elevate the restaurant's food offering and overall guest experience
  • Create and maintain a positive, collaborative, and efficient kitchen culture
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or in a comparable senior kitchen role within a fast-paced dining environment
  • Strong expertise in culinary techniques, menu development, and cost management
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop a team of chefs
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Genuine enthusiasm for premium ingredients and crafting inventive, flavour-forward dishes
  • Relevant food safety and hygiene certifications
