Head Chef, Premium Hotel Venue
 
Lead a large-scale kitchen in a busy, family-owned Northern Beaches Hotel.

They are renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. This is a landmark venue with a bustling kitchen that services high volumes daily.
 
Job Description
 
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for developing, costing and delivering seasonal, conceptual menus whilst creating a positive, nurturing environment in which individuals and the broader team can thrive. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving profitability, while continuously improving product in line with the upmarket brand, and relevant safety standards. Experience in a high volume operation is crucial.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading, training, and mentoring the kitchen brigade
  • Driving consistency in menu execution and food quality
  • Managing stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety (HACCP) and WHS regulations
  • Collaborating with management on menu development and cost control
  • Ensuring financial targets are met
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an experienced chef with proven leadership in large-scale, fast-paced venues. They will be hands-on, resilient under pressure, and committed to creating a high-performance kitchen culture.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience as a Head Chef in high-volume venue
  • Exceptional management skills and the ability to lead, coach and mentor a high performing team
  • Proven ability to manage costs and maintain profitability whilst reviewing operational performance
  • High standards in food presentation and quality
  • A passion for hospitality and team development
  • A positive and consultative approach to your peers with a high level of communication
