Job Description
As Head Chef of this unique establishment, you will have the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations, managing your team and building a culture, you will also work on rotating menus and organising functions across the space. While looking after the restaurant and growing the team, you will be working alongside some very established industry leaders who are there to help you achieve your goals and targets and work with you to build the dream.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this is more than just being a Head Chef, the food & experience you create and provide are essential whilst your demonstrated history of running profitable kitchens and driving motivated teams is a must, however developing and growing a culture that tells a story is the key to success. You are the face of the kitchen, and while leading from the front you will be highly personable and enjoy meeting, hosting, and talking with all the members. You will keep things exciting and fresh and know what’s always happening in the club. While providing an experience for the guests and nourishing them with delectable fresh cuisine, you are also there to create meaningful memories and have them eager to return.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a high-level approach to service and excellence
- Demonstrate leadership skills that enable you to lead by example and deliver exceptional member experiences
- Able to work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and management team on menu creation and implementation
- Know the ins and outs of recruitment, training, rostering, and budgeting of kitchen teams
- Possess the attitude to inspire and mentor the career development of the kitchen team
- Have a full understanding of stock control, forecasting and production for various styles of service
- Comply with all WHS legislation and regulations and HACCP standards
