Job Description
 
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for developing, costing and delivering seasonal, conceptual menus whilst creating a positive, nurturing environment in which individuals and the broader team can thrive. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving profitability, while continuously improving product in line with the upmarket brand, and relevant safety standards. This role reports into the Group Executive Chef and will have you working alongside some of the industry's most recognisable names. You will work in a highly collaborative way, engaging with your immediate team and the Group Executive Chef when creating menus, evolving processes and shaping culinary direction whilst leading your immediate team.

Candidate Profile 

To be considered for this role you will have:
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a sous chef or higher in a restaurant style offering
  • Classically trained or French cuisine is beneficial
  • Exceptional management skills and the ability to lead, coach and mentor a high performing team
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to strategically plan seasonal menu changes
  • High-level communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers 
  • A positive and consultative approach to your peers
  • The ability to review operational performance and make improvements where necessary
  • Complete understanding of regulatory compliance across food
  • Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certification
  • Full Australian working rights
