An opportunity exists for a driven and capable Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a flagship public bar operation.
Working closely with the Senior Chefs, you will collaborate on menu development while taking full ownership of day-to-day kitchen operations. This role is suited to an ambitious chef ready to take the leap into running their own kitchen within a supportive structure.

Lead and develop a team of approximately 13 chefs

Manage high-volume service, delivering efficient turnover during peak event trade

Drive menu execution across modern pub classics with contemporary influence

Implement smart ordering, cost control and cross-utilisation strategies

Maintain food quality standards
The roster operates across five days, including Saturdays and Sundays, with peak trade periods during summer and major event seasons.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a confident, forward-thinking and hands-on Head Chef with strong presence and leadership capability. You will be actively involved in service, setting standards from the pass and leading by example, while shaping your own kitchen culture and elevating an existing, stable brigade. This role requires a commitment to weekend service as part of a five-day roster.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality, high-volume kitchens

Experience within independent or premium pub environments highly regarded

Ability to drive change and inspire performance

Strong operational acumen across ordering, procedures and cost control

Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays as part of the core roster
This role is ideally suited to a motivated chef ready to step into full kitchen ownership while being supported by experienced leadership.
