Job Description

Client Profile

Our client is one of Australia’s most dynamic and influential hospitality groups, operating a diverse portfolio of venues and events nationally. With a reputation for excellence, scale and innovation, the business delivers premium dining and event experiences across a large and complex operation. Their events division is central to their growth strategy, with a strong focus on leadership, training and long-term development.

Job Description

An opportunity exists for an experienced culinary leader from a premium dining background to step into a senior events-focused role within a well-established and structured kitchen environment. Working alongside an accomplished leadership team, this position has been created to further strengthen creativity, menu development and overall culinary direction across a diverse and high-quality events portfolio.

The successful candidate will focus on product excellence, innovation and culinary standards, contributing to a centralised team responsible for delivering events at scale across a broad venue portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading creative menu development with a premium dining influence

  • Driving product quality, consistency and presentation standards

  • Collaborating within a structured, centralised culinary framework

  • Mentoring and developing a brigade of approximately 15 core chefs

  • Supporting the continued growth and ambition of the catering division

Candidate Profile

This role is suited to a current Head Chef or senior culinary leader from a premium or fine dining background seeking a new challenge in a dynamic events environment. Catering experience is not essential; strong product knowledge, leadership capability and adaptability are key.

You will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in premium or fine dining kitchens

  • Strong leadership skills with calmness under pressure

  • Creative flair balanced with operational discipline

  • Ability to work within structured systems and established processes

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement

Offer

This is a rare opportunity to influence and shape the creative direction of a major events division within a large-scale hospitality group. The business offers structured training and development programmes and genuine long-term career pathways, with a competitive remuneration package reflective of experience.
