Job Description

Client Profile

Our client sits atop the Melbourne hospitality scene, operating a stellar list of highly regarded venues. Renowned for their attention to detail their client base includes some of the world’s most luxury brands. Whether it is a one-off event or an ongoing engagement our client is one of the best at what they do.
The popularity of their venues has driven significant volume that is expected to remain well into the future. Their incredible property spans multiple spaces, each designed to deliver the new standard in events for their discerning clientele.
Job Description

This is not a typical events space and in this role, you will be challenged to deliver the best, most creative food the market has seen.

We are not seeking a traditional events chef. We want to speak with the new breed; people who challenge the perceptions around the quality that is possible in large-scale eventing.

As the Head Chef of this unique business, you will oversee all aspects of the events operations, ensuring the highest level of culinary excellence you will be responsible for menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management while maintaining a focus on quality, innovation, and profitability.

This is a remarkable opportunity. The team strives to be the best in every aspect of its operation, providing a positive, inclusive and welcoming culture for both colleagues and customers.
The successful candidate will be exposed to all facets of the business and will gain valuable experience working in a premium dining environment.

Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role you will have;
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Head Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment
  • Experience in overseeing multiple events at the one time including but not limited to the planning, preparation and execution
  • Strong culinary and creative skills with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • In-depth knowledge of international cuisines, culinary trends, and local sourcing practices
  • Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail

This role is offering a strong remuneration package ranging beyond $110,000 plus super for the right candidate.
