Our client operates a well-established hospitality venue with a strong local following and diverse revenue streams across food, beverage, gaming and functions. The business forms part of a respected hospitality group known for investing in people, developing leaders and building sustainable, high-performing venues.

Job Description

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the full operational, financial and cultural performance of the venue. The General Manager will lead all aspects of the business, setting the standard for service, compliance and commercial outcomes while developing a high-performing leadership team.

The role carries full accountability for P&L performance, operational standards, people leadership and guest experience across all departments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of venue operations, compliance and regulatory requirements

  • Leading, mentoring and developing the management and leadership team

  • Owning financial performance including revenue growth, labour and cost control

  • Driving sales through food, beverage, gaming, events and local marketing initiatives

  • Ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and guest experience

  • Building strong community, supplier and stakeholder relationships

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven hospitality leader with a proven background in managing complex, multi-revenue venues and building strong, engaged teams.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience as a General Manager or senior leader within pubs, hotels or multi-outlet venues

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and large teams

  • A solid understanding of liquor, gaming, food safety and workplace compliance

  • A hands-on leadership style with a focus on coaching and performance development

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build culture and accountability
