Hastings People has been retained by Portsea Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) to identify a General Manager to lead the continued evolution of the organisation.
Having completed a major redevelopment in 2019, the Club is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to help shape new and existing community and member facing activities.
With the underlying objective of ‘saving lives and developing young people’, the Club supports opportunities for its members, and surrounding community.
Job Description
The General Manager will be responsible for the day to day operation of the club, including food & beverage, events, sales & marketing, facility maintenance, community engagement and stakeholder management.
Liaising with Club Members and supporting the overarching objectives, are the primary facets of this role. Given the seasonality of the location, a focus of driving additional revenue streams, during ‘off-peak’ periods, will also be a key aspect of the position.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this position will have;
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience creating and implementing sales & marketing initiatives
- A hands-on approach to delivering excellent product and service
- Clear passion and energy for the objectives of the Club and its members
- A proven track record of building great teams with a positive culture
- Excellent written and verbal communication
