Job Description
This role will lead the day-to-day operations of a large, high-volume pub in Mackay. The General Manager will be responsible for driving financial performance, maintaining operational standards and building a strong leadership team across all departments including food, beverage and gaming.
You will oversee venue strategy while ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading and developing a large multidisciplinary team

Driving revenue growth across food, beverage and gaming

Managing financial performance including budgets, reporting and cost control

Maintaining high service standards and operational compliance

Working closely with senior leadership to deliver venue strategy
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced pub or large venue operator who thrives in high-volume environments. You will bring strong commercial acumen, proven leadership capability and a passion for building high-performing teams.
You will be comfortable managing complex operations and delivering results in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key attributes include:

Proven experience as a Venue Manager or General Manager in a high-volume pub or hospitality venue

Strong understanding of food, beverage, rooms and gaming operations

Demonstrated ability to lead, train and retain large teams

Sound financial management and commercial decision-making skills
