Job Description
The General Manager will oversee the compliant, efficient, and operations of the venue, acting as licensee and a central figure in the club’s day-to-day and strategic direction. The role involves governance leadership, team coordination, facilities management, and stakeholder engagement, reporting directly to the Board.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and council regulations
- Overseeing maintenance, contractors, and venue presentation
- Leading the Operations Committee and managing financial reporting
- Driving membership growth, guest experience, and community initiatives
- Supporting food and beverage operations in collaboration with department leads
The ideal candidate is a resilient, solutions-focused leader with proven experience in hospitality, club management, or a similar operational environment. You bring strong governance, financial literacy, and a collaborative mindset, with a passion for both community engagement and business performance.
You will demonstrate:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a senior operational or facilities management role
- Strong compliance, budgeting, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- An understanding of club governance and a member-first approach
