This well-established Brisbane pub is recognised as one of the city’s most iconic hospitality venues. Operating across multiple revenue streams including gaming, bar, bistro dining and large-scale functions, the venue attracts a high volume of daily patrons and maintains a strong reputation within the local community. Recently acquired by experienced hospitality operators, the business is entering a new phase of investment, operational refinement and growth.
Job Description
The General Manager will take full operational responsibility for this high-performing venue, overseeing daily service across all departments while leading and developing a large and diverse team. The role requires a confident hospitality leader who thrives in high-volume environments and understands the complexities of multi-faceted pub operations.
Working closely with ownership, the successful candidate will focus on operational excellence, team performance, guest experience and revenue optimisation across gaming, food and beverage, and events.
Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing end-to-end venue operations across gaming, bar, bistro and functions

Leading, mentoring and developing a large team across multiple departments

Driving strong financial performance including labour, cost control and revenue growth

Ensuring compliance across gaming, licensing, safety and operational standards

Delivering consistent, high-quality guest experiences in a fast-paced environment
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality leader with a proven track record managing large, high-volume venues. You will bring strong operational capability, commercial awareness and the ability to lead and motivate large teams.
You are comfortable balancing hands-on leadership with strategic oversight and thrive in complex hospitality environments.
Key attributes include:

Proven experience managing high-volume pubs, hotels or large hospitality venues

Strong knowledge of gaming operations and multi-department venue management
