Job Description
Our client is a respected hospitality group with a portfolio of high-performing venues. Their Brisbane River venue is a landmark destination, known for delivering premium food and beverage experiences in a high-energy, bar-led environment. This is not a traditional restaurant or gaming venue. It is a dynamic venue that demands strong leadership, structure, and attention to service excellence.
Job Description
The General Manager holds full accountability for the venue’s performance, including operations, financial outcomes, compliance, team culture, and guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially astute operator who thrives in fast-paced, premium hospitality settings.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading daily operations across bar, food service, functions, and guest flow
- Driving profitability through revenue growth, labour control, and cost management
- Maintaining high service standards and consistent brand presentation
- Collaborating with ownership on planning, reporting, and continuous improvement
The ideal candidate has a proven background in managing large, high-volume, premium hospitality venues. You are calm under pressure, structured in your approach, and confident in building culture and accountability within your team.
You will bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Manager or senior leader in a high-volume F&B venue
- Full P&L ownership with strong financial and operational capability
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on coaching and development
- Deep understanding of compliance, service standards, and team performance metrics
- A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and the ability to deliver consistency at pace
A highly competitive salary package is on offer, including performance-based incentives and long-term career progression within a respected hospitality group.
