Our client is a respected hospitality group with a portfolio of successful venues across food, beverage, and gaming. Known for strong community engagement and high service standards, they are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead one of their flagship pubs into its next phase of performance and growth.
Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, culture, and commercial success of the venue. This includes full operational, financial, and people leadership across all areas of the business—bar, bistro, gaming, events, marketing, compliance, and guest experience.
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness, and compliance
Lead recruitment, training, and development of a strong venue team
Drive profitability through effective budgeting, labour control, stock management, and revenue growth
Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements including liquor, gaming, RSA/RCG, food safety, and OH&S
Develop and implement local marketing, promotions, events, and community partnerships
Proactively manage guest and staff feedback
Candidate Profile
You are a confident, hands-on hospitality leader with a proven track record in pub or multi-outlet venue management. You balance commercial outcomes with team culture and exceptional guest experiences.
Minimum 3 years similar experience
Strong financial acumen
Exceptional leadership skills with experience in coaching, performance management, and team building
Thorough knowledge of liquor licensing, gaming compliance, food safety, and WHS regulations
Strategic and operational thinker who leads by example and thrives under pressure
