Job Description

As General Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for a well-established community pub in East Maitland. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing gaming, food and beverage, compliance, financial performance and team culture. You will drive profitability while ensuring the venue remains a welcoming and community-driven destination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a large, multi-disciplinary team across gaming and F&B

  • Managing financial performance including P&L, budgets and cost controls

  • Driving gaming revenue through compliance-led and customer-focused strategies

  • Elevating the food and beverage offer to maintain competitive positioning

  • Building strong relationships with local stakeholders and community groups

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality leader with a background spanning gaming, food and beverage, and community-driven venues. You will be commercially astute, operationally strong and confident leading from the front in a high-volume environment.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior venue leader within a community pub

  • Strong gaming operational knowledge and compliance expertise

  • Demonstrated ability to drive F&B performance and customer experience

  • Sound financial acumen with experience managing P&L accountability

  • A leadership style that builds culture, accountability and team engagement
