Job Description

The General Manager will take full responsibility for a busy community pub in the Albury-Wodonga region, widely recognised for its food offer and vibrant atmosphere. This is a leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, operational discipline and the ability to inspire large teams.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive financial performance, elevate service standards and ensure the venue continues to perform as a market leader within the region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End-to-end leadership of all venue operations including bar, bistro, gaming and events

  • Full P&L ownership, budgeting and financial reporting

  • Leading and developing department heads to deliver operational excellence

  • Maintaining compliance with NSW liquor, gaming and WHS legislation

  • Driving continued growth in food revenue and overall guest experience

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced General Manager or senior Venue Manager from a high-volume pub or hotel environment. You bring a strong food focus, commercial capability and the leadership maturity to manage a large and diverse team.

You will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading a large-format, food-driven pub

  • Strong financial management and reporting capability

  • A track record of improving operational performance and profitability

  • Deep understanding of NSW regulatory requirements

  • Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to build culture and accountability
