Our client is a membership-based organisation, providing travellers with low cost, quality short-stay accommodation for over 80 years. This property is located a short walk from the city centre and Suncorp Stadium. The hostel offers modern air-conditioned multi-share, double, twin and family rooms (many with ensuites). It features a rooftop pool and sundeck overlooking the Brisbane River and city skyline, indoor and outdoor dining, large communal kitchen, television lounges and games room, secure parking and an on-site cafe and bar.
Job Description
The General Manager is responsible for leading the team across all operations to ensure a high-quality service, presentation and offering is maintained. The role requires keen attention to detail, self-motivation as well as the ability to lead a team, and an ongoing drive to identify opportunities to improve and raise standards, introduce new food and beverage initiatives and encourage ongoing growth.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate for the role will possess;
- Experience as a hotel general manager or assistant manager
- A creative and lateral approach to team leadership and service
- Experience in F&B
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Deep understanding of brand strategies and cultures
- A desire to build an inclusive, positive and outcome-focused culture
- Strong time management skills and a meticulous attention to detail
