Client Profile

Our client is a national hospitality operator with a growing portfolio of large-format, community-driven venues across Queensland and New South Wales.

Their Brisbane venues are vibrant, high-energy destinations catering to everything from corporate team-building events to milestone celebrations and large-scale social functions.

With an established group sales structure in place, the business is now investing in a dedicated Brisbane-based Function Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and market presence.


Job Description

Reporting to the Group Function Sales Manager, this role is responsible for growing and converting function business across Brisbane’s priority venues.

This is not a reactive, desk-based sales role. It is a highly visible, relationship-led position that requires strong business development capability and consistent venue presence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing inbound function enquiries and driving conversion

  • Proactively generating new corporate and social business

  • Building strong relationships with PCOs, corporates and local networks

  • Conducting venue inspections and client presentations

  • Hosting networking events and activations

  • Collaborating with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns

  • Identifying low-period revenue drivers and commercial opportunities

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline management via cloud-based event software

The successful candidate will balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution, owning their Brisbane portfolio and driving measurable revenue outcomes.


Candidate Profile

You are an experienced hospitality sales professional who understands both the commercial and operational sides of functions.

You likely bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in hospitality function or event sales

  • Experience selling large-format or multi-space venues

  • A strong Brisbane network (or proven ability to build one quickly)

  • Demonstrated business development capability, not just enquiry management

  • Confidence hosting clients and representing venues in-market

  • Operational understanding of event delivery and venue logistics

  • A structured, KPI-driven sales approach

You are energised by being in venue, out networking and building relationships. You are commercially driven, grounded and comfortable selling across diverse demographics, from corporate team-building to milestone social celebrations.

This role will suit someone who wants ownership, visibility and impact.
