Job Description
The Assistant Venue Manager will support the Restaurant Manager and leadership team in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring high service standards and a seamless guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor, enjoys building rapport with guests and motivating teams, and is confident taking ownership of service periods.

  • Lead shifts and support daily restaurant operations

  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards and lead the team from the floor

  • Assist with recruitment, training and development of front-of-house staff

  • Manage rostering, labour performance and shift planning

  • Support stock control, cash handling and operational reporting

  • Work closely with senior leadership on service standards and venue performance

  • Contribute to maintaining strong staff culture, morale and team productivity

The role offers strong exposure to operational and financial performance, including labour management and cost control, providing valuable experience for those looking to continue developing into senior leadership roles.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings strong service leadership and a vibrant personality that naturally engages both guests and team members. You are comfortable working autonomously, leading shifts with confidence and maintaining calm, professional service during busy periods.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar style venue or service environment

  • Strong leadership presence and ability to motivate teams

  • Excellent guest engagement and relationship-building skills

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities

  • Confident working autonomously and making operational decisions

  • Passion for hospitality and maintaining exceptional service standards
