Job Description
As Assistant Venue Manager, you will support day-to-day operations while taking ownership of essential functions including recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and workforce planning. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to maintain service standards and ensure the seamless operation of a dynamic, high-volume venue.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end recruitment and staff onboarding
- Conducting compliant staff inductions for all new hires
- Preparing and managing weekly rosters aligned with budgets and business needs
- Supporting daily floor operations to ensure service consistency
- Assisting with training, mentoring, and team development
- Collaborating with senior leaders on staffing strategy and operational efficiency
You are a motivated hospitality professional with a passion for leadership and operational excellence. With experience in similar large-scale venues, you bring strong organisational skills, team coordination capabilities, and a hands-on approach to service delivery.
Key attributes include:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a high-volume venue
- Strong background in workforce planning and rostering
- Confident in recruitment and team management
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator with strong leadership presence
- Availability across weekdays and weekends
- RSA, RCG, and ARCG certifications required
- Experience with IdealPos and Deputy is highly regarded
