Job Description
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the daily operations of a large, high-volume coastal pub on the Mornington Peninsula. Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team, driving service standards and supporting financial performance.
This is a hands-on operational role suited to a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing all day-to-day operations

Leading and mentoring a large front-of-house team

Driving service excellence across food, beverage and events

Assisting with rostering, stock control and cost management

Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, WHS and venue policies
Candidate Profile
You are a confident hospitality leader with experience in high-volume pubs, hotels or large-format venues. You bring energy, structure and a strong operational mindset, along with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
You will demonstrate:

Previous experience as an Assistant Venue Manager or senior Department Manager

Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations

Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced environments

Solid understanding of compliance and venue procedures

A hands-on, solutions-focused leadership style
