This Boutique luxury Hotel, located in the heart of Soho, NYC is an iconic hotel is a destination for visitors and Locals alike. It showcases the history of Soho through its art, design and meticulously curated food and beverage offering. It boasts four food and beverage outlets within the hotel. With huge growth potential, out client is looking for an experienced operator to take ownership of their outdoor restaurant Gilligan's and guide the team in delivering an outstanding customer experience. This a seasonal position with the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis based on performance.
Job Description
As the General Manager you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant. You will work alongside a strong management team and help maintain and add to an already consistent trade.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- At least 5 years of management experience with responsibility for core operations and execution, maintaining and improving quality, and delivering on customer expectations in highly competitive markets
- Proven Budget and P&L responsibility and management
- A track record of innovation, having redefined businesses through superior service and distinguishing value propositions
- Strong relationship management skills when collaborating internally, managing external stakeholders, and building and maintaining regular trade
- Demonstrated people management and leadership skills – the ability to build teams and instil a culture of customer service excellence
- A proven track record of successes in achieving revenue and brand delivery and service objectives
- A strong background in food and beverage operations
- The ability to manage high workloads and meet deadlines while remaining calm and effective under pressure
- Demonstrated understanding of NYC health department regulations
