Job Description
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across service. This is a hands-on role suited to a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys contributing to menu development.
- Support daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Assist in menu development with a focus on seasonal, share-style dishes
- Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Manage stock, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Maintain food safety standards and operational consistency
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a driven and reliable chef with experience in high-volume kitchens and a passion for modern Australian cuisine. They bring strong organisational skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in working within a brewery-led venue.
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
- Background in premium casual dining, pubs, or similar environments
- Strong leadership and team development capability
- Solid understanding of food cost control and kitchen operations
- Passion for quality produce and relaxed, guest-focused dining
