With a strong local following and an established reputation for quality service and curated drinks offerings, the venue is entering an exciting phase of growth and is seeking an experienced operator to lead the business forward.

Job Description

An opportunity exists for a hands-on and commercially minded Small Bar Licensee / General Manager to oversee all aspects of the venue’s operations. This role will suit a hospitality professional with a genuine passion for beverages, guest experience and team culture.

Working closely with ownership, you will take ownership of daily operations while identifying opportunities to strengthen trade, elevate service standards and grow the venue’s presence within the local market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all day-to-day venue operations across service, staffing and compliance
  • Leading, developing and motivating a small hospitality team
  • Driving a strong beverage-focused offering across wine, cocktails and premium drinks
  • Building relationships with guests and fostering a welcoming venue culture
  • Identifying opportunities to grow revenue, events and overall business performance

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality leader with a background in premium bars, boutique venues or beverage-led operations. You will be highly organised, people-focused and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.

Key attributes include:

  • Previous experience as a General Manager, Venue Manager or Licensee
  • Strong beverage knowledge across cocktails, wine and premium spirits
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and create positive workplace culture
  • Sound understanding of licensing, compliance and venue operations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow and evolve the business
