Job Description
The Venue Manager will take a senior, hands-on role in leading the opening and ongoing operations of the venue. This is not a desk-based position – success in this role comes from being present on the floor, driving service standards and leading the team through busy, high-quality service.
You will be responsible for shaping the guest experience, building the team and making real-time decisions that directly impact performance. This role suits someone who is confident operating at a senior level, with the ability to influence outcomes through strong leadership and instinctive decision-making.
- Lead the venue from the floor, ensuring a seamless and refined guest experience
- Oversee all aspects of daily operations in a high-performance service environment
- Recruit, develop and lead a skilled front-of-house team
- Set and maintain service standards aligned with a premium, produce-led offering
- Make confident operational decisions that influence performance and profitability
- Work closely with ownership and the culinary team to deliver a cohesive experience
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced hospitality leader who thrives in opening environments and is comfortable operating within premium or hatted-level venues. You are not driven by spreadsheets or office-based management, but by the energy of service, team leadership and guest engagement.
- Proven experience leading premium or hatted-level dining venues
- Strong background in new openings or venue launches
- Highly present, hands-on leadership style with a strong floor focus
- Ability to make decisions that positively impact service and financial outcomes
- Passion for produce, service and creating memorable guest experiences
- Confident building and leading teams in fast-paced environments
Offer
A competitive salary package is available, along with the opportunity to lead a high-profile new opening in Melbourne. This role offers genuine influence, autonomy and the chance to shape a venue from the ground up within a supportive and experienced hospitality group.
