The venue has a relaxed yet energetic atmosphere and is led by an owner who remains closely involved in the day to day operation. The business is seeking a capable Restaurant Manager who enjoys being hands on, takes pride in service standards and wants to play an important role within a small, close knit team.
Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a Restaurant Manager to take ownership of the day to day operation of a busy neighbourhood restaurant. Working closely with the owner, you will lead a front of house team of approximately 6 to 7 staff while maintaining high standards across service, wine and guest experience.
- Lead and motivate the front of house team across evening services and weekend lunches
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring consistent service and hospitality standards
- Develop your knowledge of the venue's wine offering and confidently engage with guests
- Work closely with the owner on team performance, service delivery and operational priorities
- Maintain a hands on presence across service while contributing to the ongoing development of the venue
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and resilient hospitality professional who thrives in an independent restaurant environment. You will be confident leading a small team, comfortable working closely with an involved owner and genuinely interested in developing your wine knowledge. Experience within pubs, small restaurants or international wine focused venues will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager or strong supervisory role
- Genuine interest in wine and a desire to continue building wine knowledge
- Resilient, energetic and comfortable in a hands on service environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example
- A proactive and commercially minded approach to hospitality
