Hastings People has been retained by this leading hospitality Group to recruit an experienced Restaurant Manager leading the team of this soon to be opened restaurant.

This new restaurant sits next door to our client's current venue that is one of Melbourne's favourites. This restaurant is sure to make a mark on the Melbourne Dining scene when it opens in Nov/Dec off the back of the strong following and solid reputation of its neighbouring venue.

This multi-level restaurant, with its high-end design and seating up to 90 guests will have a modern European menu, with three unique dining spaces catering to a mix of casual lunches, corporate occasions, evening dining, and special events.

Job Description

As Restaurant Manager you will be the face of this much-hyped venture. This is a predominantly Front-of-House role overseeing the day-to-day operations and performance of the restaurant. . You will manage and work with the team to deliver unparalleled service with flair, personality and strong leadership.

As part of the pre-opening team, you will also take the lead with developing all systems, procedures, bookings procedure setup, recruitment, staff training, POS management and developing the Sequence-of-Service. Once opened, you will be responsible for staff scheduling and labour management, developing the wine and cocktail offer, alongside evolving the service of this sure-to-be busy restaurant.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role you will have:
Extensive experience in similar well known Melbourne eateries
A love of being on the floor and steering service to dining excellence, in a casual setting.
A hands-on approach to delivering an excellent guest experience
A solid recruitment and HR skills
The ability to lead a team in a positive and energetic manner
Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail
