An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Publican to take ownership of a high-performing Sydney venue. This role requires a hands-on leader who is equally passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences, building an engaged team culture, and driving commercial success.
You will be responsible for creating a venue that is recognised as the local favourite, ensuring operational excellence across all departments while maintaining the highest standards of gaming compliance, responsible service, and legislative requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing hospitality team.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences that drive repeat visitation and community engagement.
- Oversee gaming operations with a strong focus on compliance, responsible gambling practices and operational excellence.
- Drive financial performance through effective labour, wage, stock and cost management.
- Build strong relationships with local patrons, community groups and key stakeholders while maintaining outstanding venue presentation and service standards.
Candidate Profile
You are a passionate hospitality leader who understands that successful pubs are built on outstanding guest experiences, engaged teams and strong community connections. You lead by example, enjoy being present on the floor, and possess the commercial acumen to deliver consistent results.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a Publican, Venue Manager or General Manager within a high-volume hospitality venue.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences and building loyal local communities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop and retain high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of gaming operations, regulatory compliance and responsible gambling obligations.
- Strong commercial capability with experience managing budgets, profitability and operational performance.
