This is a rare opportunity to lead the opening of a flagship Asian restaurant within a major coastal precinct. Working closely with senior culinary leadership, the Head Chef will play a key role in shaping the menu, building the team and establishing operational excellence from the ground up. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a chef who thrives in high-volume environments and is passionate about quality and consistency.
- Lead and develop a large kitchen team in a high-volume setting
- Drive food quality, presentation and consistency across all services
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including rostering, prep and service
- Collaborate on menu development and culinary direction
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced and confident kitchen leader with a strong background in Asian cuisine. You bring a balance of creativity and structure, with the ability to lead from the front while building a positive and high-performing team culture.
- Proven experience as Head Chef, Chef de Cuisine or Senior Sous Chef
- Strong Asian cuisine experience, with wok and BBQ skills highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop large teams
- Strong operational and organisational capability
- Passion for quality produce and delivering exceptional food experiences
