Our client operates one of Brisbane’s most loved inner-city Restaurants.  
This restaurant provides an unfussed, enjoyable food and beverage experience alongside friendly knowledgeable service, and now needs a leader in the kitchen to continue to grow the business.

Job Description

This is a true hands-on leadership role, requiring you to drive the food offer for this prominent Inner-city venue. This restaurant strives to be the best in all aspects of its operation, delivering a positive, inclusive and welcoming culture for colleagues and customers alike.
First and foremost, you will be responsible for the performance of your own team including hiring, training and developing, driving their performance and standards and giving them the tools to succeed. The ability to manage people appropriately is essential to success in this role.

You will also be responsible for delivering consistently fresh, unfussed, European fare while maintaining a strong focus on food and wage costs. A strong understanding of the financial aspects of running a successful busy kitchen is necessary.
Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role you will have;

• Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy restaurant
• A positive and solutions-focused approach with the desire to build a great team
• An open communication style with the ability to inspire those working around you
• Strong financial acumen focussing on labour and food cost control
• Ability to review operational performance and make improvements
• A structured and organised approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Full unrestricted working rights in Australia
