This venue is unique as it only currently operates Monday through Friday, with occasional functions on weekends.
Job Description
The Assistant Venue Manager will play a key role in supporting the Venue Manager in the day-to-day operations of a busy, multi-faceted venue. The role requires a hands-on leader who can confidently manage service across restaurant, bar and gaming, particularly during peak lunch and post-work periods.
- Assist in overseeing daily operations across all areas of the venue
- Lead, train and develop front-of-house teams to deliver high service standards
- Ensure compliance across gaming, liquor licensing and workplace procedures
- Support rostering, stock control and cost management
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak service times
The successful candidate will be an experienced hospitality professional with a background in high-volume venues. They will be confident managing multiple service streams and leading teams in a fast-paced CBD environment.
- Experience in an Assistant Venue Manager or senior supervisory role
- Strong understanding of gaming operations and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead teams during high-pressure service periods
- Solid organisational and communication skills
- Professional presentation and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
