An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of a busy, high-volume venue in Adelaide. Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will lead from the floor, inspire your team and ensure exceptional service standards are delivered every shift.
You will be responsible for supporting venue operations, managing stock and inventory, maintaining operational standards and developing your team while taking ownership of the venue in the Venue Manager's absence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Venue Manager with the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead and coach front and back of house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage beverage, consumables and operational stock, including ordering, stocktakes and inventory control.
- Oversee venue presentation, compliance, cleaning standards and operational procedures.
- Manage labour, cash handling, reporting and service performance during Duty Manager shifts.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members.
Candidate Profile
You are an experienced hospitality leader who enjoys working in fast-paced environments and leading by example. You have a genuine passion for hospitality, strong operational knowledge and the ability to motivate teams to consistently deliver outstanding results.
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Venue Manager, Duty Manager or Restaurant Manager within a high-volume hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach and develop teams.
- Experience managing stock, labour costs and daily venue operations.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on leadership style with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
