Job Description

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of a busy and successful restaurant located in Sydney CBD. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving service excellence, leading the team and ensuring the venue consistently delivers an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day management of restaurant operations.

  • Lead, mentor and develop the front-of-house team to deliver exceptional service.

  • Assist with rostering, labour management and daily operational reporting.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety, workplace health and safety, and venue presentation.

  • Drive guest satisfaction by creating memorable dining experiences and resolving service issues professionally.

  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and management teams to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Candidate Profile

You are an experienced hospitality professional who leads from the front and thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You have a passion for people, strong commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or in a comparable leadership role.

  • Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage service, labour and operational performance.

  • A hands-on, positive approach with a genuine passion for hospitality.

  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
